Here we are again, just in time for Christmas!! :) Don't know if anyone is browsing LJ anymore for a few days now, but hopefully someone is around to enjoy this post and to vote for characters! As you probably know by now, the idea is that the three of us icon random characters, and then people who for some reason stumble upon this post can vote which 3 (or more in case of ties) characters move onto the next set. The rest will be re-randomized. You can find all our sets in this tag, thanks again for so many votes in the last set!!! ♥ For the next set it will probably be just me and thyla87 again since shameless666 won't be around at the time, sometimes one of us might have to skip a round and that's totally fine :) but this set still has all 3 of us so yay!! (also, there will be one more personal icon set from me this week if I can finish my atrocious episodes20in20 entry... so just a warning that I may or may not spam you with icons now :p even if I can't finish it there might be a 2015 icon cleanup dump.)

(*for this challenge I had to think about media types a bit since all kinds of things get iconed and the randomizer could pick anything, but not everything is necessarily iconable for us. So I decided we won't be using celeb subjects or subjects that are only featured in manga, cartoons, visual novels, video games etc, only subjects that are featured in films or tv series of any kind, live action or animated, are ok. So this Subaru character caused a bit of confusion because the fandom we got from the randomizer was X/1999, which I think is actually a manga??, but since this character is also featured in at least one anime series and an animated film, I decided we could include him and use any images we could find. As for Tony Stark, the fandom we got Tony from is actually The Avengers but again it was ok to use any work he has been featured in.)

As for Daredevil, well I only watched the first episode and that's way too early to make a judgment, but I can tell that I'm not really in the target audience for this type of show because I'm not a fan of crime and action stuff. those genres are an instant turnoff for me because they're everywhere and really boring imho :p but there were things I liked, still. I loved that there were a few quiet character-centric moments, some great dialogue and I also liked the three main characters, especially Foggy. The pilot didn't grab me in a total 'wow I HAVE to watch all of this at once' kind of way, so it's not something I'll be putting on my 'to watch' list just yet, but then again I rarely feel that way right after one episode, so who knows. Currently it looks like I'm gonna be watching at least one more episode, since Matt is doing great in the poll, so it will likely have another chance to grow on me :)

My faves from jsfunction are Regina (OMG! The complexity!), Wolfgang - there definitely need to be so many more icons of him, which is why I voted for him again, Peter (great composition), and Hook (love the grungy texture).
From shameless666: Oh so hard to choose, they're all fantastic. Olivia, Wolfgang (love the coloring and the way the text boxes him in - my absolute fave!), Forrest (so much depth) and Hook.
From thyla87: Love the coloring on Stiles, Olivia and Forrest (I wish I could consistently get that effect to work), and Regina is just mind-blowing. Awesome texture choice plus the slanted shadow!
I'm going to snag a few of those for sure.
(If you'll have me and you already know that shameless666 is skipping a round, I'd happily fill in. What are the time frames for the next challenge? I also may need help with finding images for some of the characters.)

and yes it would be fantastic to have you for the next round, thanks for offering to step in for shameless666! I'll send you the current list of characters so you can take a look and decide if you like them enough to want to icon them. We don't have a strict time frame but it would be great if one round didn't take much longer than two weeks. So if you could make them by 10th or 11th Jan it would be ideal, but it's always possible to give more time if needed :) also this is just theoretical since I'm 99% sure I'll be the last one to finish mine again :s

and now, thank you so much! For the Stiles icon I was kind of inspired by his void!Stiles arc, so I wanted to include both sides in the icon - dark and light and I was realy happy that it did work in the end :D And I'm really glad you picked the other 3, because as you already know, they were my favourites too :D I wasn't sure about the text in Wolfgang, I've already used all his short quotes and this one was so long, so I had to place it somehow, even if it's not that readable :D i don't know how you manage to include so much text in your icons :D TEACH ME MASTER! :D
Can't wait to get back on track with this project, I have really enjoyed the previous two rounds! ^^

- Olivia - YOU NEED TO TEACH ME HOW TO PAINT!!! This icon is georgeous, so many colors, it's like candy for my eyes! ♥
- Wolfgang - the composition on this one is great, I'm always amazed how you manage to include so many things in a 100x100 square! The text is great, as is the duplicating the image. The use of color on the b&w is great too!
- Forrest - amazing close crop and the vintage muted coloring is great, coloring that movie was such a pain in my ass, great job!
- Matt - the far away crop is amazing, it covers his full body and his features don't get lost, love it!
- Forrest - the color combination is so cute, it's really eye catching. As I said, coloring of this movie was so hard for me, but both you and Tommy has done great job!
- Olivia - the crop and coloring are great!

I so hear you regarding Lawless. It wasn't easy to color. And I definitely liked this Wolfgang better than my last one so it was nice to get another shot, too bad he got eliminated :/

Well, at least we had him for 2 rounds and he was so close for the 3rd too :/ I'm surprised Teen Wolf has still such a strong fanbase, I thought everyone was over it by now, since last 2 seasons weren't as great as the others, but new episodes are coming so I think my excitement for the show will be brought back :D
