40 multifandom icons (March-April icon dump)

I guess it's time for an icon dump, these are the icons I've made during March and April. After my previous lighting-focused simpler set, I wanted to go to a style that is very bold with textures, and especially get some more practise using painty and grungy textures. I also wanted to go for extra saturated colors and high contrast. I have no idea where I'm going next, but probably more muted!

I know icon dumps are less interesting than brand new challenge entries, which is why I haaate making icon dumps and wish I could at least pair them with an entry of some sort, but like half of these haven't actually been posted anywhere before, I make a lot of icons outside of challenges for a personal project (ask about that if you want some very bad ideas xD). Hope you'll find something to like - please let me know what you think, and feel free to use any you want! Hover for fandom :)

I've had this tab open for the longest time but I keep forgetting to finish writing the comment. (Blame whatever little inspo I get on that, since I can't type on that other laptop.)

THE COLORS. THE GRUNGEY TEXTURES. THE FLAWLESS COMPOSITION.

It's all fantastic and I'm sure my comments get repetitive. I just love your vibrant colors. It's not easy to make them look "nice" and not just exaggerated. They almost look natural because of how you just potentiate the original colors (or what seems to be the original colors). This style (vibrant + grunge) works well and it does fit your style as well.

How do you icon, really? You make complex compositions look simple. You choose the right textures for everything and... gosh, these are just so good. I know what you mean about icon dumps (I only post icon dumps these days, it seems) but I wouldn't be able to tell this is one because of how cohesive they are. I bow down to you, as usual ♥
Your icons make me wanna rewatch Lost from the beginning. It's been so, so long and I loved that show.

Omg thank you so much for this amazing comment! *__* I do not think anyone has ever referred to my colors as "natural", so that one was a surprise! :D I'm suuuper happy you like them and think they're cohesive - that's so hard to do with icon dumps cause it requires a ton of self restraint to just not follow every inspiration, but to sort of restrict it to styles that will work within everything you're throwing into the next set. It's HARD so I'd definitely rather just make a full set for something. (Lowkey wondering if there would be any interest for a new community, now that monthlyinspo seems to be dead.)

LOST definitely still holds up super well and is to this day my favorite show. Rewatching it takes a ton of time, but if you're inspired to start a rewatch at some point, I'd definitely recommend the Down the Hatch podcast to go along with it - it's a LOST rewatch series that posts one episode per week, that's what got me into rewatching it, they're getting close to the end of S2 at the moment. (You might even be familiar with the RHAP network from their Survivor coverage)

I have to post all of my April and May icons (admittedly not a lot but a bigger dump than I'd like) and it won't look anywhere as good as yours, haha. I go with whatever I end up being inspired by... if that even happens.
I'd definitely be interested in a new community! I wish monthlyinspo was more regular. I hope it's not dead-dead :(((( Dreamwidth has a bunch of good ones but I seldom remember to check that flist. (I do have to post a set for a community there, now that I think about it.)

Ohhh I'm definitely familiar with RHAP. When I could watch Survivor, I listened to most of their podcasts. They're a joy. I bet Wigler is a great host because I loved his sense of humor and how knowledgeable he was. If I ever get the time, I'll binge it again because I remember it fondly. (I've probably forgotten a lot of the surprises but I bet knowing the ~~endgame makes some things click even better.) Thanks for the rec ♥
