First actual set of 2019! These are for round 21 at

monthlyinspo. Featuring a show I'm now very much into: Suits. I just started season 4 so these are from the early seasons. As you can see from the icons I'm fully into the Marvey of it all, but I made some icons of the others as well because really the entire cast is great.It's not an easy show to icon because there's not a lot you can do with colors. There's also not a lot of interesting caps or angles so anything too focused on cropping or cap selection is out of the window. And the lighting sucks most of the time. Really the main thing going for Suits iconwise is that there's a LOT of great quotes, so I knew that this should be a text-heavy set. I also intended to create a darker set with lots of black, but I only made a few icons before I gave in to more colors :p
Personally I feel much better about this than my last set, which I admittedly didn't put a lot of effort into. These on the other hand took ALL the time and effort I could possibly put into them, which is also why I've still been MIA. I don't know how people icon and exist at the same time?? Do you all have time machines?? :/ I need to figure this out in order to be a better part of the community, but at least this time I managed to make a set I don't hate so yay!
The challenge was a technical bingo. You can see the techniques I used in this card:
Icons 1-5 are for the selected horizontal row and 6-10 for the selected vertical column in the same order, you can also hover on the icon to see the theme. The rest are ACs, because I had a ton of ideas on my own and they didn't fit any of these rows. I hope people don't think I'm a lazy maker or trying to take the easy way out when really it's just that I have too many ideas and I don't want to kill all my darlings just to fit an extra challenge. Don't get me wrong I still think it's cool that many people go for the full 20 for the theme! I just hope I'm not judged negatively for doing my own thing instead :)

And lol, totally agreed on Suits caps. I used to be super into it a few years ago, and wanted to icon it, but it just looks so boring? Most of the time, they're just standing around in samey looking suits. It's the woooorst.

Lol EXACTLY!! :D I mean sure they're nice suits, probably very expensive and quality and all, but... there's no colors D: and the fact that they're usually in these office rooms with huge windows which means there's awful backlighting in so many caps! Not good.

Difficult to find my favorites, all the icons are wonderful, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17 and 19 have impressed me more, but I will keep them all!

It is definitely not a show I'd call easily iconable (see discussion with emiels above), but I'm sure you'd make it work, it just takes some time to find a good cap!

You're completely right that the show is endlessly quotable but it's hard to icon it or be inspired to icon it. (The lighting is so, so bad for that.)
I find it hard to pick just a few (can I choose all 20?) but 2, 5, 7, 8, 11 (!!!!), 15, 16. I am probably saving a bunch of them as well. What a stunning set! ♥

Also , I love your coloring , which has a very old era movie feels ( wonder if that's an underlying inspiration perhaps ?? )
This is an interesting question, I definitely had a vintage-poster inspired coloring style at one point, but I did it more a few years ago and now I feel like my coloring is just basic vibrant and not so vintage anymore. But you might be right and there are some hints of my previous style lingering despite the more vibrant colors I use now! Good observation.

Well this set in particular , looks slightly more influenced by vintage movie feels than your recent other sets , which are , as you said , more vibrant and the influence is more obvious. :D
Especially if you look at icons 5, 8 and 16- 19 , then it's a little bit prominent . The icons got movie- poster feels , which of course says how intricate and pro you're at complex icons.

And the compositions! These all look so clean and simply perfect. I have a hard time even coming up with a favorite because the set as a whole makes so much sense. What I can say is that I'm a big fan of the b&w+red of the last row :D

1&5 are powerful and I love that quote both of them! So cute ;D I love the balance this icon and monocrome character. I love the color of 6 and text!! They totally are Batman and Robin ;D And omg; 7 has so stunning text and composition and balance!! Love it ♥♥ And text of 8 is so cute♥ I love the blending, text, colors and the lighting of 11!! Amazing! And 12 has marvelous blending and text is spectacular! I think this is mine number one favorite ♥
12&15 has so pretty color and text work! So strong text and bg of 16! I love the red color and some reason it gives me so powerful feeling!
The composition this set is perfect and your skill make icons is glorious!!
