I really like the minimalism in 8, and the paint blobs in 10. I love compositions with paint. I'm definitely going to snag that one for inspiration.
11 is great, I am not usually a fan of obscured faces, but once in a while an interpretation comes along that I like. This is very cool, and also fits the modern urban style of the show.
13 is awesome, his face almost springing from the depths. Great shading/contrast there!

I'm super glad you like 10. It doesn't make sense as a 'monster' icon unless you know the Locke / smoke monster connection in Lost, but yeah the paint is supposed to represent dark smoke :) I totally understand your opinion on obscured faces! I like that style, but only when I 'get' what the idea is, so sometimes I only start liking the icon after I read the maker's thoughts on it. But the one I made is fairly obvious, I think :D
