33 Farscape icons for farscape_20in20

Sooo, my entry for the 19th round of

farscape_20in20. Can I just say that I'm actually really happy with this set? I think many of my recent sets have been kinda lackluster because of the constant hurry, but for this round I really took the time to focus my efforts on these, and not take many other icon tasks right now. I really hope you'll find something to like too! I tried to showcase my love for intense vibrant colorings and of course, complexity. I hope this combination works for you :)

From what I've seen it looks like everyone has made stunning sets this round! I'm still experiencing some problems with my RAM or GPU RAM (now with a new twist - it scrambles my screen and then freezes :P), and also it's kinda stormy here so I need to shut the computer anyway every once in a while, so being online is a bit of a pain rn, but I'll do my best to comment to everyone asap!

Your Blending is really improving and I love your coloring! I wish I could color half that well and vibrantly!

I love all the themes and really like Extras 8 and 13 because of the amazing coloring and sharpness to them! Awesome set this time, you should be proud!

Aw, thanks, that's lovely to hear from the blending pro :)

Hm, I don't think I even did that much coloring on extra 8, it was a fantastic cap to begin with! (Too bad I couldn't make it fit any of the themes I had left, lol) With the rest, I actually used Vibrance in just a few, but mostly I colored almost only with really simple hand-painting methods and some gradient maps and color balance. Those are my favorites. I'd also like to learn to use regular gradients more, maybe in the next set :)

I'm kinda in love with yellow and no contrast. Symmetry is really clever and I LOL'd at ac#2. Also loving #8 & 9 of your alts. Be back later. Apologies for the drive by comment, tired icon maker is tired.

Aw, thank you so much! Those were actually some of the ones I was least sure of, I was this close to changing Yellow cause I kinda suspected the color contrast might be a bit too much, but then decided against it :)

So much awesomeness in this set, as always. I feel like your composition just gets better and better, and I love the variation in color palettes, especially in your AC set. No Contrast, Hair Porn, and Iconic are fabulous, and I love the way you've interpreted the Category set -- even though it's based on just two caps, every icon has a very unique, individual feel to it. Your ACs might be my favorite this set, though. They're all just STUNNING. Snagging bunches!

I love this set...so vibrant and WARM...the coloring is gorgeous. Love the blending on Crowded and Symmetry, the crop and coloring on Hair Porn...Skin is amazing. Snurching that...it's perfectly colored and so moody. Category 3 is an amazing blend (and the coloring is fab!) and I really love the ACs, all so much fun. Great use of textures. I also love Alt 10 and 11, but my favorite of everything is Alt 6. That literally made me gasp. I feel all trembly inside when I look at it. Perfect crop, coloring, cap...it's just beyond lovely. Snurching that and loving it forever.

Omg, thank you so much for the lovely words!! :) My style has changed so much during your away time that I didn't know if you'd hate all my stuff now, lol. I'm really surprised and happy to hear about alt 6, I didn't think that much of it when I made it, I wasn't even going for anything specific, it just kinda... happened and then I couldn't make it fit any of the themes! :P

wow, these are awesome icons! I love your colors. That`s something I`d never be able to come up with myself (not at this time at least). Most of the time, when I try to work *outside of my box*, I think it`s crap that needs to be deleted. I wish I`d be able to pick your brain, to figure out the secret behind colors like these.

artist`s choice no.4 is my favorite, I just adore it, everything about it.

I'm super flattered to hear this, but really there are no big sercerts :P these days I just mostly use color balance, gradient maps, gradients, textures and simple color fill layers for coloring. Oh and of course the basic 'just paint over the desired areas with a nice color on an empty layer' thing. Further brain-picking might be possible in the future cause I plan on posting a ton of tutorials soon enough (I've only posted one this far, lazy me) ^^
