I can't believe the last 20in20 I completed was in June. Since then it has been all icon dumps. But this time, I have actually new stuff to post thanks to [livejournal.com profile] technique20in20!

I seem to have moved from the 'icon all the Sayid' phase to 'icon all the Ben'. (OH AND ABOUT ALL THE BOCKE - DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT, I'VE SHIPPED WORSE :P)

The category set was about using styles you've been known for. I'm a horrible judge of what my icons might be assiociated with, so I just went with what I guess could be some of my signature things? In this case - vibrant monochromes, bw+color, pseudo vintage, complexity, geometry, vibrant grunge, something along those lines. I kinda failed the challenge too considering it was about our  ~past styles and I still abuse the hell out of all these things but you'll have to excuse me cause I didn't really have a style before these elements :S

Anyway, hope you'll like something in this set, I must say I had so much fun with these - it's like all of a sudden iconing stopped being stressful and started being fun again, so yeah whether anyone enjoys these or not I'm just thrilled I got them done and can't wait to use this newly found enthusiasm to icon some more in the near future!! :>

Usually nobody can tell wtf is going on in my icons, so hover for fandom :D

p.s. I just remembered that I still had lots of tutorials to make for the Ask the Maker that happened many months ago, so clearly I can never estimate how much time the writing takes. I'm really sorry about this but I don't think I'll be able to write them in the near future either, so as compensation I'm willing to give out any PSDs anyone might want, just ask (this includes all of my posts obvs, not just this one)!

Tommi, this post. ITS MAGIC! How divine are these icons? I absolutely love everything here, you have such a strong, unique style and this post is like another step in the Tommi-icon-style evolution. It's all vibrant and bold but still retro and fantastic, and just so wonderful.

Silhouette blending & it's alt are just, wow. I really, really love the composition - the blending is absolutely perfect, and the subtle texture work in the one you picked is absolutely magical. The neon colouring in the alt is divine as well, it's so bold and brave and individual. The composition of White Decoration is seriously stunning. The colour palette between the greens and the blues and the yellows is amazing, and the multiple images are framed perfectly. I really, really love everything about the texture(?) work, it's so creative and thematic and beautiful.

The whole category set is like looking at your style in a set of icons, everything has been perfectly chosen. I love the classic, vintage palette of the first icon, the black and white with sepia is magic, and the boxed texture work is amazing. I love the really, really vibrant colours of the second icon, and the slightly sharper, grungier texture feel is wonderful. The two texture choices in the third icon are just so you, but the slightly more contrasted and white feel is just such a lovely stylistic addition. The fourth is probably my favourite, I love the colouring, it's vintage and beautiful, and the ornamental texture work is perfect. And I loooooove the fifth icon because just, yessss. Amy & Rory. But also b&w with colour gradient and blocks of colour? Absolutely beautiful.

I also really love the vibrant colouring of your AC set, it's so, so bright and fun, and the lighting on the fifth is just gorgeous. Also, #32 is absolutely lovely, because of the more muted, gentle colouring, and the stunning crop, and I looooove the contrast and composition of #33, it has some truly stunning texture work happening too.

Seriously, this post is incredible ♥
