The first thing here is my farscape_20in20 entry, this round was an inpiration mini bang, so this consists of one tutorial (10pts), one Tumblr graphic (except it's in LJ so it's not really a 'tumblr graphic', and it's crappy cause I've never done these things before but I really quite liked the experience; so much room but not too much to be overwhelming! Anyway I get 4pts for that), and the rest is 6 icons (6x1pt = 6pts) so it all adds up to the required 20.

LOL Its fun to note how different people use textures. I'm evolving in my usage, seeing how other makers do it. I really like how you literally use the texture as part of the image itself. That makes your icons fun and interesting. I tend to avoid a lot of really busy textures, but you embrace them. So it is really neat to see how they can be used.

A while back you told me you didn't think you'd developed a style yet and can I just say that that definitely isn't true any longer? Also if this is something I've already said then forgive the repetition. Sometimes there's something I love so much about a person's work that I bring it up every time I comment on a post and then I start sounding like a broken record...:P

In this case, I adore your composition! I love how you mix text and textures in such creative ways - 4 and 14 being perfect examples! Also, the painted hauntes-esque vibe to your work is stunning! I especially love 24 and 40 :) Also, and I know that this I've said before but can I just re-iterate how gorgeous some of the simpler icons in this post are? 46 and 55 totally rock my socks! :D

I'm not sure if you've said that before but thanks for saying it anyway - I think you might be onto something there; I remember stressing about my stylelessness for the majority of the last year, and even trying to develop/stick to a style (that muted, grungy phase I had in November I think), and now suddenly I feel like I do have a 'thing' that just developed on its own when I stopped trying :O weird... but still, I don't see it as anything restrictive cause I still make a lot of icons outside it anyway, it's just nice to know think that my stuff isn't quite as random as it was a few months ago, hee.

Also, CONGRATS SO MUCH FOR GETTING INTO 20INSP, I'm soooo glad to see you there and looking forward to your first entry - not the easiest first round for anyone I suppose, but I know you'll do excellent! :>

and fffff please. of course i notice you've improved like wow dude. i saw your icon progression post that you made a month or so ago (probably more than that lol) and i was like .___. this can't be right. i am forever impressed with how you manage to make such unique and original compositions time and time again with just 100x100 pixels.

Here's a zip that contains the psds for all three :)

The first two were made in two parts, so there are actually 5 files in it. I started them on a 200x200px canvas to color them, and then copypasted what I had that far on a new 100x100px document. I tried to add descriptions of what I did to the layer names, but many of them are just guesses if I couldn't remember the exact process.

I hope these are clear and helpful but if you have any questions about them, don't hesitate to ask!

Omgno I'm still ashamed I actually put up that progression post, i mean what was I thinking showcasing all my fugliest stuff to everyone, haha! (what do you mean this isn't my best icon??? :O)

And I'm ALWAYS inspired by your icon genius so no need to be so surprised :3

Don't expect anything from my text icon set, srsly it might suck cause I really will be very busy in the near future, plus my inspiration kinda comes and goes, and text is what I do the slowest so it's the first thing that gets affected by lack of inspiration or time. But let's hope for the best! :D

Whaaaat, you actually didn't watch it? I HOPE YOU HAD OTHER REASONS TOO cause otherwise I just feel all guilty! D: idk why but I've noticed lately that my whole internet connection sometimes just cuts off. So it might have been on my end after all. Then again mibbit did say something about upgrading to another version or something so it also might have been that. Or maybe it was just some cosmic power trying to protect you all from my presence :p anyway I'm glad I can (HOPEFULLY) fill the chatroom with scorpy squee this week :)

Naah, we never intended to watch it, it being Easter and all that. EEEEEKS bad internet connection is BAD! Holy jeezus, these are gorgeous! I'm in awe of your compositions, like...how do you even come up with them? They're amazing! And you're coloring is gorgeous too. I love how you can get a vibrant coloring but still have a vintage/retro feel to the icons without losing any quality :D

My favorites are 1-68 (seriously, I started listing them individually, but then realized I was listing each icon anyways, so...yeah :P )
