DOCTOR WHO BATTLE: info & icon submission

Your task now is to make an icon out of each one of them.
You can use other caps in your icons too, but please make the chosen cap the main focus of the icon!

The deadline is 28th Feb, but don't hesitate to ask if you need more time.

And for most of you that is probably ridiculously long for just 12 icons, so you might want to consider taking one of the following extra challenges: (these are completely optional, but of course I'd love to see icons for these as well! :D They'll all be included in the battle post.)


Extra challenge 1 - themes
You came up with some awesome themes, and they're just begging to be used!

So for those of you who want more challenge, extra challenge 1 is to either mix and match these themes with the primary or secondary caps, or to make a new icon with self-chosen caps for the themes.

For those who'd have time for more icons, there are always the secondary caps! Extra challenge 2 is to icon some or all of these:

You can do the extra challenges partially and use only the themes and caps that inspire you. Also feel free to mix them up in any way you like. The only rules are that in the end there must be an icon for all the primary caps, and that each icon you make for this battle must use at least one of the following: a primary cap, a secondary cap or a theme.

When you're done, submit your icons as a reply to this post in the following form. After everyone has submitted theirs, I'll make a big result post with all of our icons where people can comment to each other.

IKR! I have these challenges + a full set of 20 icons for 20inspirations and a 30-icon theiconquest Farscape battle to do this month. Wasn't I supposed to do fewer challenges this year? .____.

Which is why I'll probably do only 12 icons for this, but I think I'm taking extra challenge 1 and hoping the themes will go well with the primary caps :>

Good question - I was thinking that there would be this big results post that I'll post in this comm, containing all our icons (with proper labels of who made which icons ofc!), and then the participants could just make pimping posts in their comms linking to that post. But of course the icons you make are yours so if you'd rather post just yours in a separate post, that's completely fine too :) I hope this answered your question!

Hmm, I wonder if it actually would be more fun to keep them 'secret' until the results post, meaning that I'd make the comments here screened? I could do that.

Just thinking that, as there's no voting, there's no need to be 'secret' :p If it's running like a 20in20, I can handle that.

But, with your form, I wasn't sure, so I wanted to ask. I can just as easily post mine and link the icons, too. :)

Yeah, no need to be secret really :) Oh, right, I never really explained what to do with the form, sorry :p I meant that when you're done, you could reply to this post with the links filled in that form. So it's not like in a 20in20 where people copy a table and make their own post with the icons - here we'll have a big shared one (and that's where people will comment too, hopefully anyway :D), and all you need to do is give me the links to your uploaded icons.

Hi! It seems that your icon for the Darkness theme is 200x200px, so could you resize it? Don't worry, i'll include it anyway, but if it stays that big I'll need to use HTML for showing it in 100x100px and its quality might look worse that way, so I really recommend doing the actual resizing :D
It's taking me forever to make this post so if you happen to see this before I've made the post (which is a high likelihood) you'll have time to make the change :)

Oh, cool :D Hope it goes a bit smoother than the one I'm making - right now I'm thinking if I should just split the results into two posts (one for primary and one for extra challenges) or if ~200 icons in one post is somewhat bearable :p

:) Nah, that's okay, I didn't 'really' include the themes, I thought about them and tweaked one or two icons thinking about them (like my icon with Eleven and the cane was inspired by layered), but I don't even really remember now and I guess it doesn't matter much anyways since they are the same icons and there's no voting. :) Just put them under the primary caps, that'll be fine.

Can't wait to see all the pretties. :D Though I guess coding this monstrosity must be a pain in the eema. :O
