I love so many of these! Your use of shadows is incredible and I especially like it in icons like 93 and basically your entire rainbow_elite set! i mean those close crops are so perfect and then the monochromatic colours and the lightning! #justkillmenow

I also love cap8, ac2 (so starry ♥ i love the mood of this) of the farscape set as well as 33, 43 (text! TEXT! also love the texture use and that icon is totally standing out and amazing! do more text i dare you!), 50 (snagged this one! you should icon more sam or rather icon some sastiel xD Supernatural :D Althought the show really ~is a bitch to colour. But watch it :D It gets so awesome and heart-wrecking it may or may not also be my latest addiction so ...), 56 (also snagging this one because i like the dark, cold and muted colours, the text and just everything about it.) & 70 (MARTHA! there can never be enough love for her *__* I love the composition, the choice of colour (in this case b&w obviously... ehmm) as well as the texture work)!

And just because I can't go without saying it: Never ever quit commenting on your posts about the icons you make. You really got a talent for that :) Also I'm kind of familiar with those damn texture addictions. They're really evil aren't they? Thanks for the rec too! Maybe one day I'll give Supernatural a chance, it just seems so dark based on everything I've heard and I'm more into these lighter, funny shows that don't take themselves that seriously but still have wonderful drama too (Buffy, Farscape, Doctor Who etc). But never say never! and hey at least you're lucky in that there's such a huge amount of gorgeous SPN icons out there. Maybe I should watch it just so I could use them all :D

Oh wow, thank you so much :OO ♥ It's flattering that you want to know about that look but I'm not even sure if I did anything particularly special with it! I think I used some tips from this tutorial by raiindust: http://aintafairytale.livejournal.com/42375.html about the variations/masking thing, and also I remember using this tutorial by an_aiko as a loose reference to get started with the yellows: http://prettymuchcrazy.livejournal.com/6467.html, but mostly that River icon is just a '32423534534 vibrancy layers + some textures = done' project :p

Besides your colorings are free of flaws so don't say you couldn't make that look work cause that is just not true!! :P ♥

FIRSTLY, I HAVE TO BUTT IN ON THE CONVERSATION I SEE YOU HAVING ABOVE BECAUSE REASONS.
Supernatural is totally full of levity and humor! That's actually what really got me hooked on the show in the end. I'm not a huge fan of horror and I didn't think either of the lead males was all that attractive; those seemed to be the two big hooks of the show so I avoided it for a long time, but I finally streamed the first three episodes a year or two back. Now I am the biggest fan, and all it took was Dean telling some chick that peanut M&Ms were proper provisions for incursions into the woods to find missing people. You should definitely give it a try! It isn't as girl power friendly as Buffy was, but they have a lot in common so you should definitely give it a try! =D

AND ALSO I REALLY LIKE ALL THESE ICONS. WHAT IS YOUR TALENT EVEN.
Your posts really do get better and better and better. You should be the poster child for practice makes you incredible, honestly. Your Farscape icons are amazing! I really loooooooove everything about 'Cap 10'. It is honestly so creative and flawless and blocking done in the best way possible. Also the green. The green is gorgeous. Pouty Little Princess is also amazing. The coloring is out of this world!

#32 is also creative genius, truly! I love the green again. I think green might be your magic color. I like almost everything you do in bright green. I wish I could do bright green like that! #41 is also really great! I love the contrast there, and I really love how you've coupled black and white as well.

Your Doctor Who icons are, as usual, amazing! Again, reiterating how much I love the ones you did for the elite community! 63 and 64 are coloring gems. 59 is also spectacular.

Whoa, I've never really though green might be my color, I don't even use it that often, but it is one of my favorite colors indeed so maybe I should use it more if that really is the case. You totally rock the bright greens too though, PROOF.

It's like 110 20inspiration icons for down the rabbit hole. And even though I wasn't part of the comm back then, that was my fav round, because everyone's icons were so out of the ordinary. I love that. I love your icons, because they always inspire me to make fun and crazy shit XD

Like, in your farscape20_20 set, everything is so damn eye capturing, I'm literally going cross eyed and dk where to look first. I love the painty texture on the 1st one! 2 is an amazing colour explosion. 3's texture use, text and colouring is out of this world, for reals. I LOVE it. Ttly digging the pop art-y look of 5. 7's colouring is really cool, I love the cool vs warm contrast. 9 and 10 are examples of what I meant for you being so damn creative. HOW DO YOU TEXTURE JFC. In the category set, although I hate working on challenges like *use one cap for 5 icons*, because I find it tedious to work with the same cap over and over, but fuuuuuuuuu- you've managed to make it look like 5 different caps, I shit you not. Digging the variety of styles, and the last one has to be my fav. I mean the subject is so beautifully masked/cut out and blended and the colours work so well I just asiheghgdthdhdj!1!!1one!!! AC1 is my kind of icon tbh, bring on all the vibrant colours and I'm a happy camper x3 And the alts # 25 and 26 are amazing and give me life tbh.

Awww this is all so flattering and great to hear. That 'strange reason' is just basic perfectionism, I often think my icons are quite good but that's not enough cause I want them to be the most amazing stuff in existence ever, then I compare myself against the best of the best etc, so anything is bound to be a disappointment :p I'll try not to put my icons down so much in the future though, cause I know it can annoy people and seem like fake humble even when it's not. As I already said, 50 is being taken asap. I love the composition of 51 and the colouring of 52!!! It's such a cool vintage style, like that Master icon you made in your battle with spittingfish that I love so much :3 I honestly had no clue you are such an icon chameleon! It's incredible, really. You can absolutely rock the vintage look and then the vibrant and bright coloured icons you make are just a ray of sunshine for my rainbow vomit persona XD

Hem hem..back to srs bzns. 56 is really gorgeous, idk if it's the texture, or the pale colouring, but it's really beautiful. 59 has amazing composition (Hi, I'm Vel and I'm addicted to blocking) and colouring that just makes everything ~*pop*~. And speaking of popping colours, come 62, 63, 64 (blocking!!!) and 65 and they're all just amazing. 66 and 67's texture use is making me want to create my own words, because I keep repeating "amazing, perfection and beautiful" like a damn broken record :| But it is what it is..and the texture use is KILLER. Colouring porn on 69 C:< 75 and 78 are very pretty...so basically like everything in this post. 83's colouring is awesome, so simple yet stands out :V And 84 is amazing, because I'm also addicted to borders. The pale HP icons for the 7 days you made are making me very happy :D 96 is also gorgeous, because COLOURS. And 100's composition is magical. As for the GoT icons you made, I love how they're so clean and you were relying on shadows and lighting and no textures. BEAUTIFUL WORK ;A; 108 ftw because Varys doesn't get enough love lol And I'm taking the Jaime one, along with the Sam one for my beloved userpics C:
