This first set is for a_mused and it's a really quickly made one as the Scales round was already almost over when I got in. I chose challenge 5, Everyone in this Bar, which was to icon your top 12 character (or celeb, but for me it's always character) crushes in ranked order. I miiiight have a ton of these (typical Libra then I guess :D) so the challenge was perfection.
I wanted my first set for the comm to be cohesive and all, but looks like my inspiration just took me in all kinds of random directions so it's pretty much all over the place stylewise ._.

LOOKING AT THIS LIST I FEEL LIKE I MAY POSSIBLY NEED A SHRINK OR SOMETHING? :P seriously there are maybe three or four half decent people/aliens on the list. but hey what is fandom for if not the stuff that's out of bounds irl :D

And this set is for theiconquest, for Side Quest 1 of shapter 1, the color palette one. It's for the Hero palette and all Doctor Who ^^ these are a bit old actually as I made most of them at the same time with or before the last iconquest entry, just didn't want to clutter that post even more so I saved them for a smaller post like this.

OH HELL YES, that would be awesome as we seem to share so many character likes! Which fandoms/characters would we use? (Other than that certain evil guy :p ....not that I would mind a whole battle about him actually, haha)

Haha, embarrassing confession: I haven't seen Angel except for the two Faith episodes on the first season :p basic prioritization... One day I'll watch the whole thing, I liked those episodes a lot!
An evil themed battle would ROCK. Even if it only featured those two shows. There's still The Master, Faith, Spike and others. Actually those are probably the most important ones as they were from The Lists ;D

I LOVE YOUR CRUSHES. Even if they mean you need to see a shrink, lol!
#2 absolutely slays me; I love love love the shadows and the contrast to, like, an insane degree. #4, 9, and 10 are all jaw-droppingly beautiful. You do red/yellow/orange really well here; they are all stunning, honestly. #7 and #8 are also really cool. I love the compositions and text work on them both! Having so many weird flashbacks to when I was a fan of Gravitation because of #11 which I think looks AWESOME so don't sell yourself short on animation just yet, bb! And your color palettes are great! I really love 17 especially; it has great light work!

So, yeah, I guess I have a crush or two on these icons! :P

these are so damn awesome! I really love the grainyness in icon like 2, 5, 13 & 16! It's done so well and really fits! Also you do shiny glowing icon so damn well! I'm in love with 4, 10 & 14 of those!

And I also really really like 2 (just the darkness of it and then there's the wonderful lightning ♥), 18 (tit just has something catching! The texture use is amazing!) & 22 (just wow! the vibrant warm colours and the sharpness is totally perfect!)

I'm so happy that you got into a_mused! Because that set is purely awesome! I'm looking forward to more entries of you there ;)

Seriously though, I just adore the colours in this post. Granted, I know like four of characters here BUT STILL. 2 and 3 have such gorgeous use of light and shadow. SO PRETTY. *_*.
6 - Hotdamn, texture use. It's subtle and adds to the icon without overwhelming it. Also, the coloursss!
8 - I love the text here. And the colours as well as the texture use.

As for your IQ icons, I am saving all the Rose icons. I swear, they are so soft and gorgeous and PRETTY. 14 and 15 have ALL of the awards!

Look at you and your casual mix of styles :)

I love how varied this post is, the way you have all that grunge mixed in with all the shiny :) #2, 9 and 12 are stunning. I adore the crops and the play with shadow and light in all of these. The iconquest set is pretty awesome as well. I find palettes a little hard to work with so kudos to you for sticking so close to the suggested colours :) The circle duplication on your Gravitation icon is really pretty (I absolutely cannot work with animanga) and, since I know you've been paying special attention to it, your sharpening on this batch is awesome. The entire iconquest set is crisp and strong without being over sharpened. Especially Rose's hair in 14. Perfection.

Haha, by 'varied' you sure mean 'all over the place', but good to know you actually like that :'D One day I swear I'll be able to be cohesive! I envy people who do that, or even have a 'style' - I just can't stick with one! :p

The palettes scared me a little cause none of the colors were what I usually use, especially in this palette, but in the end it was actually really fun and gave me some new ideas. And thanks for the sharpening comment - the color palette ones were made before I got that concrit, but I actually went and made new versions with better sharpness after that (and yes, some of them were really really blurry. It's weird how you can't see something that obvious yourself until someone points it out, after which you can't unsee it again o.O)

I've been so behind in commenting on icons, I don't know if I'll ever catch up!

Anyway. You have awesome taste in characters (though I'm slightly surprised not to see Crichton in there!). I really like the lighting on 4. And 6 is gorgeous, it's gritty but still has such pretty contrast and coloring.
Also for some reason I just love the overall look of 13.

Haha, thanks! I love Crichton but mostly because of his interactions with Scorpy. As a single character he's not really 'my taste' cause he's got a quite 'generic handsome' jock look. If that even makes sense, lol.

Thanks for the comments, I stressed about this batch so much that it's lovely to hear all that :) I wasn't that sure about 13 either so yay!
