Yeah so this is my character20n20 set for the 38th round, with my character of course being THE MASTER ♥
Isn't he just too adorable for words though?? :') I can't be the only one to think so!

Also I don't know how to do muted, this much is for sure. I made like 20 versions :O BUT IT'S OK CAUSE HEY ANY EXCUSE TO MAKE EVEN MOAR MASTER ICONS. And I've begun to really like muted colorings, even though it's so out of my box, so it was really interesting challenge and I'll keep experimenting with that in future too I think!

I have been in 20's and other sites where they have done muted coloring and it too is definitely out of my wheel house but I really started liking it, just another way to test my brain. And I really like yours here, as well as hope, neg. text, orange and all your AC. Ok, so it seems I love them all. I think you have a great eye for muted coloring so I am glad you liked it.

who doesn't like the Master? I mean, even the Doctor likes him when he isn't actively trying to kill him :) I adore your icons and you have got some here that I am just so jealous of! I LOVE AC3 so much, the colour contrast and box positioning is fabulous and the text is perfect! I love lust, which is a perfect moment and I also LOVE alt 7, it is so beautiful in that particular tone. I am kinda disappointed it didn't make the final cut!

I think your muted colours turned out really well, and those crops of the Master are really quite flattering. I must admit I did have a little John Simm appreciation moment!

I thought your last post was awesome but this one might just be even better :)

I love the cleanliness of your icons of late and the love/love relationship you have going on between complexity and simplicity. AC1 is an absolute stunner. The yellow borders and blue backgrounds of the outer images are good choices of color to drop against magenta. I also love the way the contrast on his face grows progressively darker as we move from left to right.

I love the crop on 13 of the alternates.His laughter seems both happy and evil at the same time but that might be because of all the spoilers I've read about the Master. (He's like this genius, megalomaniac, manipulative tyrant of a Time Lord right? It's possible that p.o.v is biased though because I've only ever come across him in Jack/Ianto fiction :P). I also love the way this icon is in black and white so we can fully appreciate his expression.

AC5 has a very unusual composition. It's very creative and I love the text and it's placement. Personally I think that the face on the left needs to be lighter and possibly with more contrast because the colour is obscuring his features. That's being said it's a minor little nit-pick on what's an otherwise stellar icon.

So, yeah, really great post and I can't wait to see what you produce next!

You're just too great to exist!! Seriously how do you make so much effort to comment? I was like that in the beginning but now I've just gotten lazy but you just keep doing it and it's awesome and I need to fix my laziness ASAP and go comment on all your gorgeous posts!

Anyway thanks for all the comments - I'm especially thrilled that you think this might be a better post than the last one, cause the concrit from a_mused kinda made me try harder again, especially with sharpening, but in other ways too, so if there's any improvement already, no matter how minor, it would be just awesome :)

Haha, looks like someone got their characterization spot on cause that really sounds like the Master! btw, does this mean you've seen Torchwood but not DW? I'd love to watch Torchwood after DW, but then again I also have this plan of going through some of old!Who after these new eps, so not sure yet which way I'll go. I did love Jack's character in all of his DW episodes.

Oh I had the feeling someone would say that about ac5, lol. The left image looks awfully undercontrasted to me too, I just didn't want to change the color cause then it wouldn't have matched anymore and as it's just a repeated image people would still know what it is. But that was a bit lazy iconing so maybe I'll try to fiddle with it a bit more and find some sort of balance! :D Again thanks for the concrit, and all the other comments too!

I got lazy for a while there as well to be honest. Some makers I follow post stuff like a couple of times a week and leaving proper feedback always takes so long. I've been trying to be more consistent lately though :)

I've seen up to the start of the second season of DW then started watching Torchwood because I liked Jack but, tbh, Jack's characterisation is different in Torchwood. More broody, and less fun. Also he's kind of a promiscuous, and it's not always endearing.(Spoilers ahead so skip to the next paragraph if you don't want to be spoiled). Mostly though I didn't like how almost the entire cast gets killed off and the only person other than Jack that remains is the one person on the show I completely despised.

I've had lazy moments before as well and usually lived to regret them so I guess going with your gut is the best thing to do? I wouldn't worry too much about it though because it's still a great icon :)

Stunning, stunning set! You would not even know that muted coloring is something that is out of your box because these are amazing! I really love all of the icons though. I can't even pick a fav.

The Master is hilarious! I giggle every time he comes on the screen. He just has the best way of turning a phrase!

These are breathtaking :) I adore your coloring and text! I love them all but I think that my favorite are

- B&W (Beautiful texture use and the contrast is awesome)
- Hope (Love the colors and texture)
- Mouth (Lovely coloring and the crops is stunning)
- Closer (I love the levels and B&W coloring here. The text is amazing!)
- Negative text (Perfect background and text! Texture is awesome and I love the crop)
- Orange (I love text on the background and the coloring!! Texture here is juts amazing)
- Shadows (The coloring here is brilliant and I love the shadows his face.)

Your category set is impressive! You did awesome job with it!! ;) I love them all ! The coloring is just wonderfull and unique! I really love muted 2 and 5 :)

And you ac set! Did I already mention that I adore your coloring :D? And how you use texture!!!!!! It's really, really hadr to pick favorite, I adore them all but I think that

- AC1 (PERFECT!!)
- AC2 (Lov the blocking and the colors)
- AC3 (Again, awesome blocking and text!!)
- AC4 (The background is lovely and sharpening is perfect!)
- AC 5 (Text, coloring, texture, blocking.. Everything is just outstanding! :D)

Okey, I love them all :D

Also, alts 5, 7, 8, 10, 13 and 15 are superb! ;)
