Here's my set for round 30 at monthlyinspo! The round was SUPER difficult for me, because the theme was to icon things we enjoyed in 2019 or are looking forward to in 2020. I took this to mean that only new movies/shows would be acceptable and not the same old shows (LOST, DW etc) I've still been rewatching and loving in 2019, so I had to really think hard - was there anything at all that was new that I liked in 2019? The 2020 portion wouldn't do because literally the only things I'm looking forward to are the new all star seasons of US and Australian Survivor, and I like to make random icons of these sometimes but definitely not a full set cause that requires taking my own caps. So I started looking at music, which is also difficult cause I listen to random weird music (my favorite genres are catchy folk, dark cabaret, and 90s eurodance) and not so much anything contemporary that anyone would recognize. In the end I found the one exception, which is Lana Del Rey. I love her music, her vocals and lyrics are so atmospheric and really tell a story. I iconned my ten favorite songs from her 2019 album, Norman Fucking Rockwell!. I couldn't find any caps from any videos so I chose to make this really hard and icon her photoshoots and other images combined with lyrics.

I put so much into these, I really hope you'll like some of these, and if not, there's also a lot of random icons in the alts/extras (some for challenges, most made just for fun). I know that this post is a bit much, I promise there will be more even simple/complex ratio in the next post, but for this set I just wanted to go crazy. Anyway, enough rambling! I'm so glad you decided to make Lana icons! I almost did the same, but I didn't feel like making screencaps either. Love Norman Fucking Rockwell! so much, it's just an incredible album <3.
The overall feel of these icons is just stunning. The text use in all of them is to die for. I especially like the moody feel on 4, I think it fits the song perfectly. Also, California... it's my fav song of the album and it's probably my fav icon of the set, too. The amount of brightness is perfect, and again, the text use is so well done. The Greatest also has a especial place for me and the blues and gritty texture complements so well the close crop.
Shoutout to the magnificence of 8, love the vintage feeling.
As for the alts, I especially like 14 (I'll automatially love everything Buffy you do), 15, 19 and 20 (wow at the composition)!
