So the theme was seasons, and I wanted to do this a bit differently. This is not an x number of summer, x winter etc set. Instead I chose to focus on only two seasons, this set represents a progression from winter to spring the way it is here in Finland. Winter starts dark. Then the snow falls and it's all white/bright and very cold. Then the snow start slooowly melting and revealing all these other colours, but this process continues well into the spring. So that's what I was trying to do, but if I have to divide these cleanly into seasons, let's say the first half is winter, the bottom half is spring. In terms of technique, I was really feeling textures this month so these are texture clusterfucks and I have no regrets x)

Ah, right, but I love them anyway. :D I often tend to overlook how a texture can make an icon worse, too, by slightly changing the shades/angles, especially on faces. It takes some extra work, definitely.
One day (on a holiday maybe) it would be great to try to make a set where I try to do everything right
Haha, me, too. I can't wait for Christmas vacation!
I got very lucky with 14, the textures just fit right, but I wouldn't go as far as to call it exemplary xD super flattered though, thanks!
Haha, well maybe not exemplary for you - your thing is complex compositions I could never hope to match - but exemplary for what I can achieve.
Yeah I've watched a few eps of Outlander, I really like period stuff and I found the show very promising, but watching more shows is pretty low on my priorities list atm. Maybe one day, though! All the scenery in it was gorgeous and I liked the atmosphere.
I hated the books, but I got drawn into the first season by the extremely well done female-gaze wedding night episode. I never got back into it after season one, though. My tumblr dash is still full of it, but somehow it never made me start up again.
And then of course I am so deep into cdrama right now that I don't even want to watch anything else at all. I dropped all my shows, let's not even talk about starting new ones (that are not Chinese /o\).
