Man I LOVE that 10in30 is back! I really really don't have a lot of time for icons but I've always preferred making a set rather than just random icons, so a small set in 30 days is just the perfect challenge for me.

Unfortunately my inspiration was missing for all of December, so these were made in a week and I had to save time somewhere so I decided not to color them at all, and instead focus solely on texture use and composition. I'll try to make my next set more colorful, but I really enjoyed the process this way and these still took a ton of effort so I still wouldn't say I was lazy with them... maybe. :)

I claimed Doctor Who because I had only somewhat-watched s9 and not seen 10 at all. I intended to catch up, but since I procrastinated so much I only had time to rewatch all of s9, including the parts I had missed previously. This really paid off though because I LOVED that season, especially the three last episodes. I think 12 is my favorite Doctor now, and while I was kinda lukewarm on Clara for a long time now I really love her too. Before I started watching I had an idea to try and make all my icons kinda 'sciencey' with textures, and still make them fit my resource bag of course, but since this season ended up being surprisingly emotional, I went to a different direction halfway into the set so it's not totally cohesive, but I don't mind.

I'm also posting some random multifandom icons. Most of them were made last year and a few were just 'practise' to get back into iconing mood, since they kinda fit this the style I was going for here I decided to post them together. The compositions are amazing, I'm just mind-blown as usual *_*

I love everything about 1, the way they are framed and also the b&w with the green works so well. 5 also has stunning composition, even though the texture is quite busy, the focus is still on the subject. And then there's 9, how do you even fit so much into an icon and still make it look so cohesively gorgeous?? And in 9 I just really love the color combo and the text work.

And all the icons from 16-22 are so SO good! Again I have to mention compositions, because they are out of this world! Can borrow just a little bit of your creativity please?

You know I love your vibrant icons so much but WOW, your muted/vintage-looking icons always blow me away! I LOVE the creativity of your compositions and use of textures. The colours are soooo amazing. Favourites are 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, 18 and 19. :D

overall i adore how the colour palettes and compositions make the icons look parto a whole, like the batch really is cohesive and it's IMPRESSIVE!! *u* ♥ as for the single works of art (yes, works of art) my absolue favourite ones are:
5: wonderful use of textures and colours – i love how the b&w matches with the vintage-ish tones framing clara
7: the negative space is splendid and your colourings, the way she stands out from the background makes me cry, it really makes me think of the episode somehow. also, that text work is SPECTACULAR
8: silhouettes with other silhouettes inside are my weakness dfhskfdh i think you're a wizard because the composition is too perfect and every detail works amazingly (the soft grunge effect!!!!!)
9: a masterpiece, one of the most gorgeous icons you've ever made, its just. i am speechless!!! the way the two caps blend in with the background (and each other) is spectacular and the text makes the result even more beautiful ♥ ♥ ♥

Dang, that's what I get for being behind on my flist. I miss awesome icon posts! :/

I like the color scheme in the Doctor Who set - it makes it all look so very retro. I especially like 8 and 10, the silhouettes look cool, and 9: omg it looks like it should be a wallpaper, so detailed and intricate. Awesome.

Of the others, I like the bold composition in 12, the texture and coloring in 18, the awesome idea to combine her with the stock image in 19, and the way the gear seems to clash with the concept of ballet in 21, but really doesn't.

Awesome! (And I am really happy that 10in30 is back, too.)
