Ok so here's my entry for round 9: Tropes at 10in30. I haven't had much iconing mojo lately, mostly cause I haven't been able to get into any new fandoms... but then I realized I can maybe icon a bit outside the box and take reality shows into consideration, since I also watch some of them, with RuPaul's Drag Race being my latest great discovery. I just finished binge watching all the seasons, so this post contains a mix of different seasons rather than just focusing on the current one. Embarrassing confession time: I totally started watching just for Santino. He's cute and adorable and I loved him a LOT on his Project Runway season, which I just recently rewatched (still the best PR season by far!), so I thought, why not see what he's been up to. But very soon I fell in love with literally everything about RPDR. It's so much fun! I can't even pick a favorite season, they've almost all been super strong, and it's also perfect for my iconing needs, with all the fun colorful wigs and clothes and stuff.

I do hope to make a return to iconing normal fictional fandoms at some point! I just have to find that show or movie to get excited about.

You're right, the colorful source material really suits your style!

From the 10in30 set, I especially love #05 (very inventive text choice!), #04 - so hard to tell where the subject stops and the background starts, and #03 and #06.

I love the retro look in #15, the grunge in #21, the coloring in #24, everything about #27, and the slight grunge and beautiful coloring in #37.
