Never thought about painted lashes, but they look so cool! The colors are amazing and it's really interesting to see your creative process even if you don't like the result right now xD It happens to me a lot that I adore an icon I just made but a month later looks so ugly and I can't even stand the sight of it lol. I guess you feel that way about this icon? It still looks amazing to my eyes :)
