Yay, good to find I'm not the only one using this background removal method! Hair is a pain alright, sometimes I just have to forget about the actual shape of the hair and paint it wherever I like :p

Random textures on random modes is a legit strategy and clearly works wonderfully for you! Haha, not sure about badass, I'm not even sure if my result is any different from if I had used it on Screen or Lighten. I use the stranger blend modes very rarely too, most of the time it's basically screen or soft light :D
