Yeah, trees can be super annoying alright :p I'm sure you can find a non-tree way of doing it! I'd love to hear if you finish it. If you get it to work better than mine does you could even share yours with others. Mine is good enough for me cause it does what I want it to but the usability would be crap for someone who hasn't already gotten used to it (the file reading/saving thing especially works just based on me remembering how it's done, lol). Annnd I did a sloppy job with the UI cause there are sometimes texture fragments left on it if I randomize a differently shaped/sized texture.. And it crashes if I remove a texture and don't update and then the last texture in that folder gets randomized. So clearly there's a lot to be fixed, still... I hope yours will be better :D
