Sooo I participated in character20n20 again! It has been a while, because I needed to focus on my uni work and 20in20s take so much time and effort from me.
After finishing my thesis, I've been making a slow return to iconing, with some icontests and the7days sets, but now I was finally ready to make a full 20in20 set again and damn was it awesome! I'm honestly happy with most of these. I used many of my go-to techniques so I guess it's nothing ~new from me. I've already signed up for 20inspirations and that set will probably me more experimental, but here I just wanted to make fun icons with all my favorite techniques :)

also. there's a lot of Pydia here because ships inspire me. No judging ok? :p I don't even know when I started liking het this much but yeah. I know it's creepy and terrible, my ships always are, that's why I ship them basically.

Crossover OTP is with Giles from BTVS. I don't really get crossover shipping tbh because I need to see the chemistry in some actual scenes for the ship to be fueled, but if I have to pick someone, I could totally see her having a crush on the hot school librarian who seems to know something about the supernatural things in Beacon Hills. Of course, Giles is a decent person so he'd never actually return her affection, but I'd still count that as a 'ship'. :>

I hope 'Outer space' is space-y enough; it has a lot of stars mostly, I used these space-themed textures by daynawashere :)

ok I'll stop rambling, I really hope someone will like something in here but just having finished these makes me happy. ♥

There are two things in this post: awesome coloring and, there's no other word for it, composition porn. The whole category set is just WOW! The composition of 3 is so stunning and I love how you used the same color scheme for all icons. The coloring of the whole artist's choice set is also amazing :D

omg, thank you this comment is super flattering, I'm just so happy you like the category set that much, those are probaby my own faves here as well and took a crazy amount of work (which is probably hard to believe since they're barely even colored, lol) so it's absolutely wonderful to hear that someone likes them! :)

*jaw drops* Your composition skills are unbelievable and I especially like the way your icons are about Lydia as a character. They do a great job of capturing who she is and some of what's interesting about her. I agree with you on being confused by crossover pairing and yet your choice of Giles feels solid. I'm especially loving the intricate collages you've made and the way your Linked Together icons hang together as a set. Soooooooo beautiful together.

oh my god THANK YOU SO MUCH this comment is wonderful ;__; ♥ I'm super flattered especially about your comments on capturing her character, it's difficult for me to come up with icon ideas without context so usually I try to draw inspiration directly from my subjects so I'm really happy if that shows!

what the helllllll??!! *___* seriously, how do you even make such creative, amazing icons??!
first, can we talk about the coloring kills you put on these bad boyss!!? crossover otp, monochrome (how do you even make a monochrome icon look this incredible??),relaxed, ac1, ac3, and ac5 are just phucking spectacular!!
secondly, the darn textures in your icons!! teach mee! the whole category set is just so inspiring! same goes for 1,2,3,5 on the extra set!
lastly, the blending you've done on flames, ac2, and ac4 are just so asldkjfljf (i've ran out of words to explain it lol)

ZOMG IF GILES CAME TO BEACON HILLS AND LYDIA WAS TOTALLY IN LOVE AND OF COURSE GILES IS GILES AND YES THIS IS WORTHY OF CAPSLOCK! Okay, I love that idea. I honestly don't think Lydia has truly loved a guy since Jackson, although she does have the bond/attraction thing with Peter. Saving a bunch of the icons and will credit when used. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for the TW battle!
