icontalking is awesome, hope you joined and not just watched it cause the best part of the comm are the discussion posts, they're a great place to talk to other iconmakers but they're only visible to members. When you join it says that the membership needs to be accepted by a mod first but don't worry about that, everyone who tries to join is accepted, I guess this procedure is just something to keep out spam and those that aren't really iconers but only there to lurk? idk. I don't know how that other battle works, but if it hasn't ended yet I'm pretty sure you could still sign up, just ask the person hosting it. but even if it's too late, there are battles going on all the time there, and it's also possible to host your own battle there if you're interested :) like I said, icontalking is pretty awesome for iconers, I just wish I had more time to participate in everything...

20insp is only back for one round and goes back to hiatus after that, so it wouldn't make sense to open the applications for just one round. however inspired20in20 is basically the same thing and was originally made so that everyone could participate in this kind of inspiration style challenges, so there's always that :)
