I can't believe the last 20in20 I completed was in June. Since then it has been all icon dumps. But this time, I have actually new stuff to post thanks to technique20in20!

I seem to have moved from the 'icon all the Sayid' phase to 'icon all the Ben'. (OH AND ABOUT ALL THE BOCKE - DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT, I'VE SHIPPED WORSE :P)

The category set was about using styles you've been known for. I'm a horrible judge of what my icons might be assiociated with, so I just went with what I guess could be some of my signature things? In this case - vibrant monochromes, bw+color, pseudo vintage, complexity, geometry, vibrant grunge, something along those lines. I kinda failed the challenge too considering it was about our  ~past styles and I still abuse the hell out of all these things but you'll have to excuse me cause I didn't really have a style before these elements :S

Anyway, hope you'll like something in this set, I must say I had so much fun with these - it's like all of a sudden iconing stopped being stressful and started being fun again, so yeah whether anyone enjoys these or not I'm just thrilled I got them done and can't wait to use this newly found enthusiasm to icon some more in the near future!! :>

p.s. I just remembered that I still had lots of tutorials to make for the Ask the Maker that happened many months ago, so clearly I can never estimate how much time the writing takes. I'm really sorry about this but I don't think I'll be able to write them in the near future either, so as compensation I'm willing to give out any PSDs anyone might want, just ask (this includes all of my posts obvs, not just this one)!

I'm flattered you like them that much and I must say your comment was a wonderful surprise considering the lack of Farscape in this post, so really thanks a lot! :D (I think the term you're looking for is gradient, and I'm thrilled that you like them here - I don't use them very often but it's always good to try new things, glad you think it works!)

Heeee, ofc the Michael Emerson ones are the best - anything with ME in it looks gorgeous by default ;) They're from LOST indeed, I've yet to watch Person of Interest but I'm pretty sure I will at some point when I finish Lost.

Also I'm super flattered that someone actually noticed my lack of posting lately, this has in fact been the longest posting break I've had since I started iconing. I did have some icons for an icon dump I could have posted last month but I felt so meh about them that I just didn't bother .__. but now my muse is back so hopefully there'll be a post per month again! :>

I've yet to watch Person of Interest but I'm pretty sure I will at some point when I finish Lost.
It's a great show: it starts a bit slowly, but after the first 6 or 7 episodes it simply *rocks* :-)
I've "converted" a friend who watched the first two seasons over summer and now can't wait from one week to the other for new episodes....

Answer: nowhere near as divine and magical as this comment! ♥ Seriously you're too amazing for words, thank you so much for taking the time to write all these wonderful things. First of all I'm so glad you think this batch a step to some direction, because I feel like I'm pretty freaking stagnant in any kind of stylistic evolution, always doing the same things so to hear something like that is really awesome and even relieving in a way :D

And also, I'm so so happy that you think so highly of White decoration, it is texture work indeed - the theme was to use white decoration textures, which was scary because while I really like the style, I almost never use it cause it's so difficult to find the right texture + cap combinations. It can so easily end up looking random, so I'm super happy that you like the result! :> And I'm also thrilled that you like the category set cause those are possibly the most classically 'me' icons here so I just love how many positive things you see in them, aw. Also yay I'm thrilled that so many people have somehow noticed 32, it was supposed to be my 'sky is above us' icon and I far prefer it to my actual icon for that theme, the only reason I left it into the alts section was set cohesiveness, haha. (I totally planned this to be a muted set but then the opposite happened, idek!)

ANYWAY, THANKS FOR BEING ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I read this comment as the first thing in the morning of a very busy day at uni, so it definitely cheered me up the whole day! :>

Amazing as usual! Just gonna dive right in with 'darkness,' which has such great texture use and muted colors. I love how Castiel manages to stand out from the background even though you made it so textured. 'Silhouette blending' is awesome, but I love the alt version even more. The lime green and neon pink is such a trademark combo from you, and I love the composition. It's a very creative use of the silhouette technique. What is the madness and beauty that is 'white decoration'?! Those white decorations are fantastic and add so much to the composition! The green and blue panels also look so great next to each other, and yesss, Sawyer. <3

Great coloring in CAT2, especially on her hair and shirt. The colors in AC3 are also really lovely and even though you can clearly tell who the two characters are, there's still something kind of wispy and antique about it, especially in the area near Jack. Not quite sure how to explain it but it looks a little foggy/faded over there, so this comes off looking as a really vibrant yet old photograph. AC5 makes me so happy because A) it has beautifully bright, vibrant colors and B) IT'S JIN. YOU ICONNED JIN. MORE PLEASE.

Here you are! :) I hope they're any helpful! My process for the Buffy one was extremely odd (it was more like fooling around Photoshop rather than even trying to make something good, lol), but the rest should be fairly regular. For the acs I didn't even do that much cause the caps were already so pretty :>

Oh wow, thank you so much for this wonderful comment! I'm just thrilled at all the unexpected love for the alt version of 'silhouette blending', and the fact that you like White decorations is awesome as well cause that's a style I don't even remember using before.

And yesss I iconned Jin :> tbh he was my least favorite character for a looooong time (weirdly enough the thing I couldn't get past was that he destroyed Sun's garden. It was just so cruel. I could always get the things he had to do because of Sun's father, but the garden thing, that was all on him and it was awful!), but by the very end of s4 I started to like him quite a lot, especially after he himself realized and admitted he had changed, so I think I like him now and might very well icon him in the future too. Seriously I need to make tons and tons of icons of LOST, there are so many awesome characters and scenes and I'm pretty much in love with them all!

I'm very flattered you found something nice to say about each of them, I really put a lot of effort on this set, even more so than usual, so I'm very happy you think the results work. Also it's lovely to hear you also like some of the alts, especially 10 which is subjectwise one of my own favorites, lol. (I didn't actually cut the 4th icon from the background though, I cleaned it up a little but mostly the background was like that in the cap already, so can't take credit for that ;) ).
