wow the trope-overdose batch is amazing! saving tones!! I esp like 4, 9, 10, 13, 15, 18 and 27.

I love what you did for the last round of iconbattling, I actually voted for some of those, I love 29, 30 and 33.
about the missing tags, 29 is from True Blood, 33 from White collar and 37 from Breaking bad =)

Great texture use for the turbo-rumble set, and great coloring on the Buffy one <3

6-11 are really wonderful; I love the composition for 8 and 9, and the coloring on 6, 7, 10 and 11 is gorgeous! :D

39-48 are really well-done; complexity is definitely something I'm trying to master in iconning, and I think you did beautifully. :)

57 has some great composition, and 58 -- wonderful use of black and white. And 59 --very good cap choices and use of levels (and black and white). Not to mention they gave me a heck of a lot of feels. I love the coloring for 78 and 79, and the blending on 85 is just awesome. And 91 -- gorgeous coloring. Really great job! :D

YAY! Amazing, amazing post!

#4 is kind of beautiful, the combination of bright pink and black is so unique but it works so beautifully, and the text use is kind of flawless. I love #6, the boldness of the yellow and the blue are all kinds of gorgeous, and #10 is absolutely divine. It's soft but also sharp, and the brown tones are so incredibly lovely. #13 has such amazing texture work, and the text is awesome, and then #15 has such lovely lighting and softness again. It's kind of awesome to see how easily you move between the two styles, definitely impressed with that skill! The depth of the shadows and grunge textures work so nicely in #17, and then #20 has that incredible softness again! Gorgeous lighting as well. I love the crop and muted tones and gorgeous deep blues of #23, and the texture/text/everything about #25. Beautiful stuff there.

BUT IT DOESN'T END HERE! #30 and #34 have gorgeous shadow work, and I love the contrast you've used in both of them to really amp the nature of the close crops. #43 is a flipping perfect icon, such amazing texture work and cropping and colouring and just everything, but I also love the vibrancy to #45, and the combination of colours! #79 has some very unique colouring going on, with some vibrance and some mutedness all at once (very beautiful) and the colours of #87 are lovely.

ooh the variation in colouring alone in this post *_______* the shadows are used perfectly, and I love how it darkens the icon and intensifies the effect of 2, 4, 21, 26, 34, 71 (flawlessly emphasising the cropping in that one), 72, and 81. Speaking of which, the cropping of 23 and 34 are brill with how extreme they are, while being chock-full of emotion, and in contrast the focus on her smile in 79. The contrast of 27 is amazing, the cold blue and the inherently horror? of the cap is the perfect contrast to the warm tones of the other half; similarly 55 and 57 with that unexpected sliver of face peeking through is a little disconcerting and fantastic for pretty much that reason. I love how you effortlessly include texture, and it doesn't look clunky as a result at all - it's like you knew the texture that would work best with the icon and effortlessly applied it: 38, 40, 75, I really like how deceptively simple they look, and the actual cap is coloured so well and the expressions are so sharp.

um this has gotten tl;dr after a point, but overall, I really, really like how you use the glowy bright colours to such good effect, and accentuate the darker ones with fantastic and sometimes harsh (but in a good way) cropping.

wowwww this entire post is so incredibly fantastic! i'm just sitting here being overwhelmed by your use of light and shadows and gradientsssss like what kind of magic do you use in order to produce such perfectly textured monochrome icons like 17, 36, 37, and 71 and that's not even mentioning 23, with all its glowy shadowy amazeballness. i just. i don't understand??

Your colouring and lighting is flawless. Seriously, flawless and gorgeous.

5 - I lovelovelove this two-tone kind of colouring. It's one of my favourite kind of colouring to see as well as try out. Also, yellow+blue FTW.
10 - Such beautiful soft colouring! I love it. Also, I think your lovely Rose icons are gonna strong-arm me into giving Doctor Who a go.
17 - OHMYGOD. This is basically the perfect amount of shadows and flawless texture use!
30 - Shadow play. AW YES. Also, I love how smooth the icon is without losing any of the important details.
37 - I really, really love shadows. With the passion of a thousand burning shadows. They just add so much depth to the icon and can elevate to suppress a mood beautifully, BASICALLY, flawless icon. And marvelous texture use!
38 - What is this composition wizardry as well? :O. The subject looks sort of dark but I love the blue and maroon and the way you've framed the subject with perfect cut-outs.
61 - AW YAY LIME GREEN. I love the softness of the colouring as well as the lovely clean background.
79 - Hairporn. It's a lovely crop and the colours, the pretty colours.
87 - I lovelovelove the three contrasting colours. The green works beautifully with both the blue and yellow! Also love the subtle blocking!

Ooookay, trying not to faint from all the goodies goodies I'm seeing right now.
Oh my god, there are so many icons, I don't even know how to begin. Icon 36 is freakin awesome, I have no idea why you didn't win with that one, the cropping is perfect. Love the blending you did on icon #42 and the uniqueness of icons #44 and #45.
Last but not least, I ADORE the coloring on icon #74 and the glowy look of it (i love glowy).
Per all, they're all just great.. far beyond great, actually.
