I had a smallish icon battle with the wonderful spittingfish, as we noticed that we share an appreciation for a certain DW villain, so yes this battle is dedicated to the perfect being known as Simm!Master! :D

Needless to say I was kinda sorta nervous about this because she's so freaking amazing at iconing, but this was super fun too and the perfect reason to put yet more Master into this comm, hee.

john_scorpy, I looove the texture and color on #1, and your text on 3 and 5 are awesome. And the coloring in all of them are flawless. And #2 is so soft and bright and dark. Augh. A+++ work would fawn over again.

spittingfish, your composition and coloring are awesome! The colors and look of #2 are amazing, as are the textures of #17. And the composition on #20 is awesome!

ok so i haven't gotten to the master (yet) in dw, im on like the 10th episode of season 3 so i assume if he's some kind of villain i'm gonna ~meet him soon C: IM STOKED

also i couldn't not come here and say this is a g-g-g-gorgeous battle omg *Q*

1 is so fucking beautiful i can't even- . jesus. you ttly rock those vintage textures, like your spock (vulcan pride) one omg <3 i love the texture use as well as the colouring, it's stunning. 4 is all sorts of amazing with the colour scheme, it's like a rainbow explosion for my rainbow vomit comments :P 6 has beautiful blocking and jesus the close crop on 9 as well as the shading and shinyness are just one big EPIC WIN ♥

C: i started watching last week so i wouldn't call it too fast...if it was summer and i didn't have uni, id be done with all 7 seasons for a week haha ._. i know i thought id hate it because it's cheesy and the effects are a bit blegh but HOLY WOW! i loved 9 and now i absolutely adore 10 so much!!! and the companions are so pretty c:

Oh I wish I had the time to watch it so often! I only have time for one ep per day, so you'll probably finish the show before me at that pace. I just started s5 - the 11th doctor is kind of great too actually, I expected to hate him/be disappointed because teeeeenn. I miss 10 a lot but then again I love the writing on what I've seen of s5 this far so I think the post-10 era will still be definitely worth watching!

Heheee I love that you plan on going Doctor/Master. The saddest thing though is how few Master eps there are. Before watching the show I kinda thought there would be a whole lot of him cause I had heard of how much they're shipped, but now I know that's mostly because a) in this case quality really trumps quantity and b) because in the old seasons there was a lot of Master so the character was already familiar and there was a fanbase ready for him. But I fully expected him to be a regular part of the new show too (WHICH I STILL THINK HE SHOULD BE :D).

And aaw thanks, you're so kind! Idk if it's being my own worst critic, or if I just think there are so many iconers that it would be unrealistic to expect people to remember them all, but thanks anyway, it's awesome enough that you do! :)

Okay, I swear to god I already replied to this entry, but I came back to snag another icon and realized I hadn't, SO HERE GOES AND I'M SORRY IT'S LATE:

I loooove that we both framed the cap for one. I found it fairly easy to work with, which was surprising because I didn't think it'd be so quick. 2! Two is so light! So airy! As soon as I saw it I was like, "aaaaaaaaaw, shouldn't have coloured mine." It works SO well, imo. three! Love the crop! I've worked with this cap a few times and found it hard to ~reinvent it, but this was so lovely. Dig the vibrancy on 4 so much. I went so pale on it and you managed a great rich coloring with it. I love the use of textures! 6 is perfect. I love your light blobs and I love the mix of colors and frames on it.

My second favorite is definitely eight. I don't even. It is so eye-catching and I love how you matched the colors to the characters and UGH I JUST CAN'T. It's the best on any level of composition, certainly. It's so flaw-free, tbh. 9 is just my favorite. The crop, the airyness, the lightness, the coloring, I just hate you for producing it. I uploaded that one straight off, lol. It's really beautiful. I think it's one of my few favorites of this month.
